1. Introduction & Scope

{{COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME}} ("we," "us," "our") operates this website (the "Site"), an insurance quotation and lead-generation service. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information, including nonpublic personal information (NPI) under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), and applicable state privacy laws. It applies to U.S. residents. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

3. Sources

We collect information (a) directly from you via forms, calls, and emails; (b) automatically from your device via cookies/pixels/server logs; (c) from third-party data providers and referral/co-registration partners; and (d) from publicly available sources.

4. How We Use Information

  • To process your quote request and connect you with licensed insurance agents/carriers (lead fulfillment — you expressly consent to this when you submit a request).
  • To communicate with you (quote delivery, follow-up by email/SMS/phone, subject to your separate consent).
  • To measure and optimize our advertising (Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, Google Analytics — see §7).
  • Security/fraud prevention, legal compliance (GLBA, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, TCPA), analytics, and service improvement.

5. How We Disclose Information

RecipientPurpose
Licensed insurance agents & carriersLead fulfillment — connecting you with coverage
Meta Platforms, Inc.Advertising measurement & retargeting (hashed identifiers, IP, device/behavioral data)
Google LLCAnalytics & advertising measurement
Service providers (CRM, email, SMS)Operational support, contractually limited to our purposes
Legal authoritiesAs required by law / fraud investigation

"Sale" and "sharing" under California law: We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of Meta Pixel and the Conversions API constitutes "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" under Cal. Civ. Code §1798.140(ah). You may opt out — see §10 and our Your Privacy Choices page.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, quote/underwriting records for {{RETENTION_QUOTE}}, email records for {{RETENTION_EMAIL}}, advertising/cookie data for {{RETENTION_ADS}}). We delete or de-identify information when no longer needed.

7. Tracking Technologies & Advertising (Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Google Analytics)

We use the Meta Pixel (browser-side) and the Meta Conversions API (server-side). When you submit a quote form, our server transmits a hashed (SHA-256) version of your email and phone, plus your IP address and browser/device identifiers, to Meta to measure conversions and build advertising audiences. Hashed data is pseudonymized, not anonymous, and remains personal information under applicable law. We also use Google Analytics.

These transmissions constitute "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" (CPRA) and "processing for targeted advertising" under Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and similar laws. Your opt-out options:

  • Click "Your Privacy Choices" / "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in our footer.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we automatically honor it and apply Limited Data Use — restricting Meta to aggregate measurement only, with no ad targeting, retargeting, or audience-building from your information (see §12).
  • Meta ad preferences: facebook.com/adpreferences. Google Analytics opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Industry: optout.aboutads.info.

8. GLBA Financial Privacy Notice

{{COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME}} is a financial institution under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act because we act as a licensed insurance agent/broker. We collect NPI you provide (name, contact details, date of birth, health and financial information, insurance history). We disclose NPI to insurance carriers and agents to obtain and service the coverage you requested, to service providers under contract, and as permitted by law. We do not disclose NPI to non-affiliated third parties for their own marketing without offering you the chance to opt out. To opt out or ask about our practices: {{PRIVACY_EMAIL}} / {{PHONE}} / {{MAILING_ADDRESS}}. We maintain safeguards consistent with the FTC Safeguards Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 314).

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies. Under U.S. law you are not required to consent before we set cookies, but you may opt out of advertising/sharing cookies at any time. We do not treat closing a notice or scrolling away as consent. Opt-out requests (including GPC) are honored within 15 business days.

10. California Residents — Your CCPA/CPRA Rights

You have the right to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing (including our Pixel/CAPI sharing), limit use of sensitive personal information, non-discrimination, and (from Jan 1, 2026) to opt out of certain automated decision-making. To submit a request: {{PRIVACY_EMAIL}} / {{PHONE}} / {{PRIVACY_REQUEST_URL}}. We verify identity before responding and reply within 45 days (extendable by 45 with notice). You may use an authorized agent. To opt out of sharing for ads, use Your Privacy Choices or a GPC-enabled browser.

11. Residents of Other States

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island, and other states with active privacy laws have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising/sales. Contact {{PRIVACY_EMAIL}} to exercise them.

12. Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We support the GPC opt-out preference signal. If your browser or extension transmits GPC, we automatically treat it as a valid opt-out of the sale/sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and apply Limited Data Use — we restrict Meta to aggregate measurement only and do not use your information for ad targeting, retargeting, or audience-building — and reflect the choice on-site. This is mandatory for California, Colorado, and Connecticut residents. GPC-enabled browsers include Brave, Firefox (with a privacy extension), and DuckDuckGo. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.

13. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures consistent with the FTC Safeguards Rule, including encryption in transit, access controls, and incident response.

14. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 for sale/sharing (CCPA). We delete such information if discovered.

15. Updates

We update this Policy at least annually or upon material change; the "Last Updated" date reflects the latest revision.
